August 21, 2010 by Rob Powell
The public will get a rare opportunity to see the Mayfair home of legendary musician, Jimi Hendrix.
The guitarist and singer lived at 23 Brook Street with his English girlfriend, Kathy Etchingham, between 1968 and 1969. The apartment will open for just 12 days from August 25th as part of an exhibition called Hendrix in Britain.
The flat is now used as the admin office of the Handel House museum – the famous composer, George Frederic Handel, lived next door at 25 Brook Street from 1723 until his death.
