A BRAND new five star hotel has opened in Mayfair today.
The Beaumont Hotel has been created by acclaimed restaurateurs Chris Corbin and Jeremy King in a Grade-II listed, art deco building overlooking Brown Hart Gardens .
Guests at the new hotel are promised a return to "the pre-war elegance of Mayfair" and it also boasts an eye-catching "inhabitable sculpture" designed by Anthony Gormley.
The luxury hotel, which was built in 1926, has fifty rooms, thirteen studios and ten suites.
Planning permission was granted back in 2010 for the conversion of the former garage that was designed by Wimperis & Simpson.
The day has arrived! We open officially today, with thanks to all the many people who have worked to bring the hotel to life.
